Don't remind me again today

Many people trading crypto have a deadly blind spot—they stare at US stock market data every day. When I look at those so-called experts’ posts, I can’t even tell whether they’re trading Nasdaq or cryptocurrencies.

In the short term, BTC does have some correlation with US stocks. But if you’re trading long-term and still stubbornly stick to this logic, you’re basically waiting to get liquidated.

Let’s look at the data: From October 13th until now, the Nasdaq is up 3%, but BTC has dropped 23%. During this period, it only followed the drops, not the gains. How do you explain that?

BTC and US stocks do resonate at certain stages, but that doesn’t mean they’re always tied together. Otherwise, you can’t explain how in the past two months BTC completely decoupled and went down on its own.

Back in October, I met a guy who thought US stock fundamentals were solid, so he stubbornly held onto his BTC. In the end, he misjudged and lost quite a bit.

So, using the US stock market to guide your crypto trading is the biggest trap. This cycle has once again validated the cyclical theory—those who stick to the old patterns have won again.

BTC’s long-term trajectory is independent; its bull and bear nature comes from the four-year halving cycle. Does the US stock market have a four-year cycle? Then why do you keep staring at it?

This bull run is already over. I choose to liquidate all my BTC.

At the time of posting, BTC price: $93,000

Those who are stubbornly sticking to the US stock logic really need to wake up—the decoupling is so obvious, how can you not see it?

That's so true. I also know people around me who got misled by US stock market data. They stubbornly held onto BTC waiting for a rebound in US stocks, and ended up crying alone.

You’ve already sold everything but are still here preaching. I’ve seen this routine way too many times. If you’re bullish on US stocks, go trade US stocks. Why insist on using crypto as your bargaining chip?

the nasdaq correlation is such a seductive narrative tbh... watched so many folks get liquidated because they were essentially just trading spy with extra steps. the divergence these past weeks is genuinely poetic—btc doing its own thing while everyone's still glued to fed data lol. four-year halving cycles don't care about your macro thesis, but yeah most people will learn this the hard way again

Another one has sold everything, really? Remember to let everyone know next time you get in.

Hmm, makes sense. Those who blindly follow and focus on US stocks really need to wake up.

Obsessing over US stock market data is really just suicidal trading; the logic in the crypto space is completely different.
