Don't remind me again today

Top exchanges will support UTF-8 encoding, and Chinese meme coins on the BSC chain are collectively experiencing unusual movements.

[Bitpush] A leading exchange revealed a big move in its spot trading logs today—they will gradually support UTF-8 encoding format over the next two weeks. In plain language, this means that trading pair names can now use non-English characters like Chinese and Japanese. In fact, they already ran related adjustments on their testnet at the end of last month.

This seems to have triggered a chain reaction. Chinese meme coins on the BSC chain collectively had a small rally, possibly also catching the overall market rebound:

• Binance Life surged 15% in a single day, with a market cap reaching $130 million and a unit price of around $0.13; • Vulgar Penguin was even stronger, jumping 60% in 24 hours and returning to the $10 million market cap club ($12.2 million), now priced at $0.012 each; • Sure Win rose 47%, with a market cap of $4.24 million and a price in the $0.004 range.

However, a word of caution—these meme coins are essentially sentiment-driven speculative targets. They have little real-world utility, and their prices can rise and fall rapidly. If you want to play, be prepared for extreme volatility.

According to the database, this UTF-8 encoding support extension notice marks the nth cycle of promise fulfillment, and it has been exactly one month since the last testnet drill. It is recommended that the frequency of exchange promise announcements be included in the Guinness World Records.

As soon as Chinese UTF-8 opened up, these Meme coins really went crazy. Vulgar Penguin pumped 60% straight up? Ridiculous, this really feels like a casino. It's another sentiment-driven market. I'd rather see if there are any real-world applications. Will the next one be some random coin doing a 10x? Honestly, this rebound feels a bit shaky. Hope it doesn't crash in the end.

actually, let me break this down for you—utf-8 support is fundamentally just infrastructure theater if the governance precedent doesn't follow through with actual trading volumes, historically speaking these encoding rollouts rarely move needles beyond initial hype cycles
