Don't remind me again today

Got this nagging thought that won't leave me alone: when blockchain actually hits mainstream adoption—and it will—the final form is gonna be unrecognizable from what we're all debating right now.

Think about it. We're out here arguing over L1 vs L2, PoW vs PoS, which scaling solution wins. Meanwhile the version that actually gets mass adoption? Probably won't care about any of that stuff. Regular people don't know TCP/IP exists but they live on the internet every day.

The crypto that breaks through won't be the one with the best tech specs or the most decentralized architecture. It'll be whatever solves real problems so seamlessly that users forget they're even using blockchain. Just like nobody wakes up thinking "thank god for HTTP protocols" before checking their email.

Wild how we're all building toward a future that might pivot in a completely different direction once actual adoption pressure kicks in. Not saying current work is pointless—just that the endgame rarely looks like the blueprint.

To be honest, no matter how fiercely we argue now, it's all in vain. What the public wants is something that is usable and convenient, who cares if it's L1 or L2?

To be honest, I thought of this a long time ago. We are constantly arguing about PoW or PoS, not realizing that the mainstream crowd doesn't care about this stuff at all. In the end, the one that wins will definitely be the solution that is least like "Blockchain".

To be honest, the things we are debating right now might all be pointless... by the time they are truly popular, no one will care.

Damn, this guy is absolutely right. The group of us argues about L1 and L2 every day, but the ones that can actually survive probably aren't even the things we're discussing right now.

To be honest, the things we are arguing about right now may all become a joke later. Users don't care about whether it's L1 or L2, just like no one thanks anyone for TCP/IP. The race has long changed, but we are still spinning in place.

Ha, really, those broken things we are entangled in now will probably be of no concern when they become truly popular. To be honest, what the public wants is not the most decentralized architecture, just something that works, just like nobody cares about what TCP is, yet they can still surf the internet for eight hours. 99% of what is being built now will ultimately be overturned, that's just fate. The technical solutions we are arguing about will definitely change in the end anyway, and the user who eventually wins won't even realize they are using Blockchain. But thinking about it this way, this is the right direction... let technology be invisible, and the problem is solved. Alright, let's admit it, what we are arguing about now might all be the wrong direction.

Haha, that's right... We're here debating the technical details, but in the end, the winners might not care about these at all. What really breaks out is the black box, as long as the users are happy, they don't need to know how it works behind the scenes. Right now, those debates about L1 and L2 feel a bit like ancient engineers arguing about building materials, but actually, the bystanders just want a house they can live in. People have been using the internet for decades without thinking about the protocol stack, and blockchain might end up being the same... This logic is so true. I bet the project that eventually breaks out is probably one that nobody has heard of yet.
