Don't remind me again today

Financial intelligence authorities are sounding the alarm on a disturbing trend: cases of sextortion targeting young people are spiking hard. Scammers are weaponizing compromising content to shake down victims for crypto and cash. The agency's report shows these attacks are becoming more sophisticated, with perpetrators often using social engineering tactics to build trust before launching their demands. If you're active in online communities or have younger folks in your circle, this is a serious heads-up worth sharing.

In simple terms, this trap of social engineering is essentially an extreme distortion of trust costs. The scammers are constructing false incentive mechanisms to lure in victims, which is quite similar to the logic of certain governance experiments... it's just that here they are using human weaknesses instead of Token incentives.
