Reading "The Art of War" again today resonates with me. The Buddha says: "To observe the mind is to be enlightened; to control the mind is to be strong." The Taoist teaches: "By doing nothing, nothing is left undone." Meanwhile, "The Art of War" states: "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting; next is to disrupt alliances; then to attack the army; and the lowest is to besiege cities." A true master never insists on confronting the market head-on at the wrong time.

Why?

The market is an intangible battlefield, where behind every candlestick lies the undercurrent of emotions and power. Traders eager to take action are like armies aggressively assaulting a fortress—suffering great losses with slim chances of victory.

The art of war emphasizes "momentum," and so does trading:

When the situation is not yet ripe, do not rashly contend.

The momentum has begun, moving silently.

A true strong person does not act every day, but at the critical moment, wins the richest reward at the smallest cost.

Historical generals all understand the way of "stillness." Han Xin could endure humiliation, Sun Wu could adapt to the changes of the times, and Cao Cao could let go of immediate benefits. The steadier the heart, the broader the vision; the more impatient one is, the more they fall into the traps set by others.

Livermore once said: "Big money is not made through frequent trading, but by being able to hold on." Many people only see the three words "being able to hold on," but fail to understand the strategic wisdom hidden behind them.

Not fighting is self-discipline;

Winning without fighting is a realm.

If the heart is like a rock, the market will have no city to break.
