The highly anticipated Sui Network Mainnet has finally launched as scheduled on May 3rd. This article will provide a brief introduction to the initial user experience of the Sui Network Mainnet, including aspects such as the network information platform, wallet, cross-chain bridge, and NFT market.

The network information page of Sui Network displays a comparison of the performance and features of the development network, test network, and Mainnet. Currently, the Mainnet has a total of 98 validator nodes and two nodes operated by Mysten Labs.

Block Explorer

In the Sui block explorer, users can view basic information about SUI, such as TPS, network node distribution, block generation status, price, and market capitalization. It also supports querying transaction information by address.

Sui Wallet

Taking the Suiet wallet as an example, users can download the plugin from the official website, and then create a wallet, record the mnemonic phrase, and log in just like using a conventional wallet.

Sui Cross-Chain Bridge

The Sui Token cross-chain bridge is now live, supporting direct cross-chain transfers of 22 Wormhole-compatible assets to the Sui network. The initially supported cross-chain assets include ETH, WETH, USDC, MATIC, WMATIC, BNB, WBNB, AVAX, WAVAX, FTM, WFTM, CELO, GLMR, WGLRM, and SOL.

Taking the official cross-chain bridge portalbridge as an example, users can choose the network and assets, and can select native chain assets or SUI as the transaction fee. The fee for transferring assets from different chains to SUI is 0.2 SUI or the equivalent of native chain assets, which is relatively low.

Sui NFT Market

Currently, the leading NFT trading platform Souffl3 on Sui Network has launched on the Mainnet. Users can participate in the platform’s Launchpad activities and NFT trading by connecting their wallets.

Initial Experience Summary

Although the Sui Mainnet has just launched, many ecological projects have not yet gone live, and the initial chips are mainly distributed within centralized exchanges, which has affected the activity of on-chain users. However, based on the current user experience, the operation is still relatively smooth.

It is worth noting that most centralized exchanges have not yet opened the withdrawal function, which to some extent limits on-chain activities. The final user experience of Sui ecosystem projects still needs further observation and assessment.
