Muhlendorf has previously worked as an attorney at the SEC and the Department of Justice, and for the past nine years, he has been a partner in the white-collar defense and government investigations practice at Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, D.C., focusing on representing individuals and entities in criminal and civil securities enforcement matters. Acting Inspector General Katherine Reilly will return to her position as Deputy Inspector General.
