Hedera Foundation, the development team behind the Hedera blockchain, announced via a blog post on Wednesday that Verra has chosen Hedera to accelerate the development of next-generation digital tools.

Verra has integrated with Hedera Guardian to enable faster, more automated project processes and lay the foundation for a more scalable, high-integrity carbon market built on trust and transparency.

The integration allows project developers to access updated digitalized methodology information for optimal predictability from project registration to credit issuance. It enables users to easily manage projects that utilize digital methodologies, leveraging additional digital tools to streamline workflows and surface key insights. Hedera Guardian also facilitates processes that allow users to search, analyze, and apply data while respecting the confidentiality of project proponent submissions.

Finally, the integration features a digital-first user experience, enabling the seamless integration of all project-related processes, including digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV).

Hedera Hashgraph is a distributed public ledger infrastructure. According to the team, it offers significant improvements over existing blockchains in five areas: performance, security, governance, stability, and regulatory compliance.
