On May 11, according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin’s monitoring, “the recent multiple short positions at the highest price for ETH have a success rate of 0.” In the past 50 minutes, a Whale borrowed 5,000 ETH from Aave (1245 million USD) and then shorted it at a price of $2,491. His last short position of 10,000 ETH was bought back to close before ETH skyrocketed, incurring a loss of only $430,000. If he hadn’t closed the position, he would now be facing a loss of $7 million.
