TRON DAO collaborates to investigate the hack of account X
TRON DAO announces account being attacked
On May 3rd, TRON DAO announced that their account X was hacked at 9:25 AM Pacific Time on May 2nd, 2025. During this time, the intruder posted a message containing the contract address (CA), sent a personal message (DM), and followed some strange accounts.
TRON DAO emphasizes that they never disclose contract addresses or send unsolicited personal messages. If users receive personal messages from account X on May 2nd, they should delete it and consider it from an attacker. A member of TRON DAO has become a target of a malicious social engineering attack, leading to the account being compromised.
Even after the attacker was logged out and access was restored, they continued to reach out and post from the main account in exchange for compensation. TRON DAO is actively investigating the incident. They have contacted law enforcement for swift action against those responsible.
