Tezos Deploys Nairobi Upgrade to Increase Transaction Speeds
Tezos blockchain has deployed its fourteenth upgrade "Nairobi" on Monday, which increases transaction speeds up to eight times faster and introduces a new fee mechanism that charges users differently based on network usage. Additionally, Nairobi enables Smart Rollups, a scaling tool, to be upgraded continually and automatically. Despite the upgrade, Tezos network usage remains low, with only 68,000 transactions processed in the past 24 hours compared to other popular blockchains.
