The under-construction Yongzhou Railway Jintang Undersea Tunnel is a railway tunnel connecting Ningbo and Zhoushan. It is also the world’s longest and largest-diameter undersea high-speed rail tunnel. Once completed, it will completely end the history of no railway connection in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. This super project, which challenges world-class difficulty, involves nearly 300 companies in the Zhoushan side tunnel construction, of which over 90% are private enterprises, including many national-level specialized and innovative “Little Giant” companies. These companies have taken on key responsibilities in core component research and development, custom special equipment, and precise quality control. (CCTV News)
