Osmosis burns 600,000 OSMO tokens every month, accounting for 0.79% of the supply, with the current price at $0.0627. Calculated annually, this project's burn rate is close to 10%. With a market cap of only $47.6 million, it ranks in the top five within the IBC V2 ecosystem. Interestingly, the market is generally bearish on the Cosmos ecosystem, but this has actually created an opportunity for tokens that maintain scarcity through aggressive burning mechanisms. At such a low valuation, investing in tokens that self-destruct at such a rapid pace becomes logically quite attractive.

Wait, an annual burn rate of 10%? I need to recalculate this data... 0.79%×12 months=9.48%, indeed close. But the question is, is this kind of aggressive destruction really a long-term benefit or just overdrawing the future?
I see many projects play this set in the early stages, only to regret when liquidity collapses later. A market cap of 47.6 million is indeed quite low, but sometimes low is for a reason...
But on the other hand, Cosmos being collectively bearish this wave is actually quite interesting. When reverse indicators work well, you can really make money. I'm just worried about what happens if this $0.0627 price gets cut in half again; historical data tells me that during bearish periods, the ecosystem usually has room to decline further.

Burning 10% annually? That's an insane pace, equivalent to de facto bankruptcy. It won't last long.

Annual 10% burn? That's a bit harsh, but undervalued bottom-fishing against the trend does make it easier to bet right.

Annual destruction of 10%... That's so intense? It feels like a race against your own supply.

A 10% annual burn rate sounds good, but the key question is whether this thing can survive until next year... The Cosmos ecosystem has been hit so hard.
