On January 3rd of this year, Bitcoin's Genesis Block celebrated its 17th anniversary. Looking at this milestone, I suddenly feel that the voices discussing it have indeed become fewer.
Some time ago, I read an article discussing the integration of AI Agents and cryptocurrencies. Although it was from last year, that idea has been lingering in my mind. To be honest, the hype around AI Agents combined with Crypto hasn't been as high recently, but I remain optimistic that the moment when they ultimately converge will come. This is not some vague hope; I believe the development logic of both directions will eventually align.

Damn, it's been 17 years. It feels like a long time ago but also like it was just yesterday... There are indeed fewer discussions, but isn't this the norm for the market? Calm and steady is actually more solid.
I've also been keeping an eye on AI Agent + Crypto. The cooling down of the track is purely a cycle issue. The real stuff is still brewing, and it will inevitably explode sooner or later.

It's been 17 years, and I feel like Bitcoin's presence has really diminished.
AI Agent plus Crypto really isn't being talked about anymore, but I also think it's only a matter of time before they intersect.
A decline in popularity doesn't mean there's no hope; on the contrary, it's time to think carefully.

actually, the convergence narrative here kinda glosses over the real computational bottlenecks though... like yeah, ai agents + crypto sounds elegant in theory, but have you thought about what the trust assumptions actually look like at scale?
the math doesn't quite work yet, ngl.
