Don't remind me again today

A major case is about to be sentenced in the UK - businesswoman Qian Zhimin found out the result on Tuesday; she may have to spend 14 years in prison.

This case is indeed explosive. She ran to the UK with 60,000 bitcoins, which at the time was worth about 50 billion RMB. The UK authorities directly classified it as "the largest Bitcoin money laundering case in history." Qian Zhimin himself admitted to it, laundering these BTC through a series of complex operations.

Her lawyer Richard Thomas also spoke for her in court: she had never committed any crimes before, was quite honest after going in, worked hard to learn English, and even wrote a few poems.

From a big player in the crypto world to a prisoner, this story is coming to an end. The anonymity of cryptocurrencies is indeed convenient, but thinking you can completely escape regulation? That's too naive.
